Topic: Bio / Introduction of Coffee, The Dog

The topic that you are reading is all about our dog named “Coffee”. Coffee is a very smart kind of dog. Our dog Coffee is a Shih Tzu. Coffee’s maximum weight is 4.5-7.3 kilograms but his current weight remains at 4.1 kilograms. The species of Shih Tzu begun in the 1800s. The breed of the dog Shih Tzu is nearly similar as the breeds of Splits, Long-haired Chihuahua, Papillion and the Pug (Bulldog). The Shih Tzu is a kind of a very loyal dog to their owners.

1. Bio: Usual Behaviours

 The dog breed Shih Tzu are the dogs that mean something very royal or special for the emperor and the empress in the 1800s. The Shih Tzu has a personality and characteristic that is loyal, affectionate, outgoing, playful, lazy, busy-body and alert.

2. The Time Where He Barks 

 Coffee always stay alert of people coming back home, opening and closing doors and of course he will bark at  people that are not being recognised by himself, Coffee.

3. Height and Fur Coat

 Coffee is a small dog with a short muzzle and large dark black eyes. With a soft and long double coating, Coffee’s height can’t stand up higher than 26.7 cm (10 1⁄2 in).

4. "Shih Tzu" Represents Something...

 The name “Shih Tzu” comes from the Chinese word "lion dog" because this kind of dog was bred to resemble "the lion as depicted in traditional oriental art", such as the lion guardian dog (Statues at temples and etc).

5. Life Span

 The Life span of a Shih Tzu is about 10-16 years and if they are very healthy they can live only for 18 years. Coffee also loves to play “Fetch” most of the times.

6. Simple Tricks

Coffee has learned a few simple tricks like for example, fetch, play dead, sit, come here, roll over, sit and stay.

7. Feeding Coffee, Food Time!

Coffee is always very curious about things moving about him. Coffee also loves to run a lot. Coffee is also a lazy dog and he eats a lot of food when it comes to his breakfast or dinner time. Each time when we feed him we have to feed him at least 3 and a half scoops a meal and normally we feed him about four scoops a meal. Coffee usually takes 4 to 10 minutes to finish eating his biscuits. When it comes to snack time, I only feed him half a scoop.

8. More Kinds of Food!

Coffee has three types of food, the first type is the chicken flavoured biscuit and which is Coffee current favourite type of biscuit. The second is the biscuit that is fish flavoured and the third one is the wheat meal biscuit. Coffee always likes to whack his tail. He only whacks his tail if we feed him, play with him, get near him or carry him.

9. Play Time

Among all the toys and dog bones that Coffee has, the most favourable toy that he loves to bite on is the green hippo soft toy. He loves to bite on things that are green or something that has a “Chewy” look on that particular object that he is observing.

10. Its Hygiene That Matters

 Next fact about Coffee and the fact is, Coffee does not like to bath at all. Whenever we carry him to the bathroom then he knows something is going on here. About every 5-7 days he will need to bath. Although he hates to bath, Coffee still loves to play with water. Coffee hates to bath when he baths with very cold water. Although Coffee also hates to be dirty but he loves to play around with his poo. Coffee always likes to lick his paws. When his grooming session has just finished, in about 10-20 minutes his fur gets messy again.

11. Quite Playful

Coffee always tend to leave his toys everywhere and especially his two bones. When Coffee has just bought a toy out, minutes later when he is boring about that toy that he is biting on, he will leave that toy alone and bring another one more out. I always say this to Coffee, “A bird’s meal is worth two in a bush”.

12. Other Infomation About Coffee

Coffee also loves to pee at doors when anyone open or closes the front door where we leave our home. Coffee’s mouth is always sticky as if super glue is sticking dry on his mouth. Coffee hates people to blow in front of his face. Coffee can also be easily fall asleep when I scratch his ears. He often sleeps under our bed in the bedroom. He also loves to jump on our bed and play with us.

The only room Coffee will not often go to the kitchen room. Coffee always has a lot of eye wax even if the eye wax is being wiped off with the Eyerific! Chemical. He hates to be turned upside down. Coffee can be easily attracted by very sharp sounds, whistles, people talking and with the sound of his bowl. Coffee has two bowls, the first one is the green small bowl and the second one is the big pink bowl.
